USA Network announced that ‘Suits’ Season 5 will premiere June 24, 2015 at an earlier time slot of 9:00pm ET|PT. Get a synopsis of what we can expect in the upcoming season.
OK, can we talk about how crazy/wonderful/emotional Suits Season 4 finale was?! After wondering for so long, we finally found out how Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) met 12 years ago while he was still working in the District Attorney’s office. Interestingly, that was the same night Harvey also met Charles Forstman (Eric Roberts). In the present, Sean Cahill (Neal McDonough) returned to ask Harvey for help putting together his case against Forstman and Eric Woodall (Zeljko Ivanek).
It turned out that Forstman was using Woodall’s ex-wife (and her need for expensive hospital care) to keep him loyal. We discovered (in flashbacks) that Forstman used a similar tactic on Harvey all those years ago by investing dirty money in Harvey’s younger brother, Marcus’s restaurant. In the end, Harvey wore a wire during a meeting where Forstman confessed all his misdeeds. Forstman was arrested and all would be well, right? Well, not quite…
Norma died and after Donna helped Louis (Rick Hoffman) mourn, she decided that she would leave Harvey to become Louis’ secretary. But what about the Darvey declarations of love? Why wasn’t it enough to keep them together??? *sigh*
With that said, I think my favorite part of the show was Mike’s (Patrick J. Adams) proposal to Rachel (Meghan Markle)! He asked her dad’s permission and then gave her Grammy’s ring…just perfect!
So as Season 4 ended, several storylines wrapped up, but there are still lingering questions…
Well, earlier this week USA Network announced that Suits will return this summer. Season 5 will premiere June 24, 2015 at an earlier time slot of 9:00pm ET|PT. USA also shared a synopsis of what we can expect in upcoming episodes:
In the fifth season premiere, Pearson Specter Litt has scored a hard-fought victory, but the fight has left the firm shaken. Although she avoided jail time, Donna has left Harvey, after more than a decade of working together. She is now working for his long-time rival Louis. And while Jessica readjusts to being single, Mike and Rachel are giddy after his marriage proposal. (via USA Network)
*EXCITE* The break between seasons is a bit shorter than I expected, but I’m NOT complaining. According to Hypable, it’s likely that the new season will be divided into two parts, with the first ten episodes airing this summer. After another break, the last six would air sometime during Winter 2016.
There are few things I hope we see in Season 5—I definitely want a Mike/Rachel wedding…and wouldn’t it be great if Harvey and Donna were the Best Man and Maid of Honor? That would be the perfect catalyst for Darvey to happen! I also want Jeff Malone (D.B. Woodside) to come back because he and Jessica (Gina Torres) were so great together. And basically, I want Louis Litt to keep on being Louis Litt.
