This summer 20th Century Fox (in association with Constantin Films and Marvel Entertainment) is releasing their highly anticipated Fantastic Four reboot, and from all accounts, this is guaranteed to be a smash hit!
The contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team is directed by Josh Trank and stars Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell. According to the official synopsis:
FANTASTIC FOUR centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. (via 2oth Century Fox)
Back in January, FOX released a teaser trailer that gave us our first glimpse of the four-some and their adventures. Even more cool, Josh Trank and writer/producer Simon Kinberg took us an exclusive inside look at the teaser, providing commentary about the story, characters, and what we can expect. It’s clear that this version of will be more modern, with a focus on a younger Fantastic Four. The importance of new frontiers of scientific discovery will also be central to the story:
Ahead of their CinemaCon panel, FOX released a new official trailer earlier this week! The trailer (below) features a young Reed Richards (Miles Teller) joining Dr. Franklin Storm (Reg E. Cathey), Sue Storm (Kate Mara), Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan), and Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) on a military-funded project exploring inter-dimensional travel. We also get a first look at the four flexing their new powers and the arrival of villain Victor von Doom (Toby Kebbell):
