Emily and Victoria face-off for the last time in tonight’s Revenge! Watch a sneak peek of the series finale episode, airing at 10:00pm ET|PT on ABC.
In last week’s Revenge (“Plea“), Emily/Amanda (Emily VanCamp) was in prison and about to stand trial for murdering Victoria (Madeleine Stowe). She met with her lawyer and all the evidence seemed to be stacked against her; however, Emily refused to plead guilty. At the arraignment later on, Emily was granted bail at $2million and with strict conditions—including an ankle monitor. Interestingly, Ben (Brian Hallisay) volunteered to monitor Emily and make sure she abided by the rules. But she had other plans, including locating Mason Treadwell (Roger Bart) and forcing him to admit the truth.
Nolan (Gabriel Mann) found that Mason was now at a trailer part about an hour away from the Hamptons. He also devised a way to transfer the signal from Emily’s ankle monitor to another device…which she attached to David (James Tupper). By the evening, Emily hadn’t returned…however, Ben came by the house for a check-up and realized what was going on. Just as Emily was arrived at the trailer park and discovered Mason had a “regal” lady friend with her, the police arrived and arrested her.
During this time, Jack (Nick Wechsler) stayed in the Hamptons to support Emily and David . Emily admitted that she wanted to be with Jack…that’s why it was so important for her to clear her name. Jack went to Margaux (Karine Vanasse) to speak up if she knew about anything untoward about Victoria’s death. Of course she denied any involvement and blamed Emily. However, Jack noticed that Margaux’s car had the same license plate of the one Mason used to leave the Hamptons.
Emily was back in jail, but knew she needed to get to Margaux. With help from one of Jack’s old police academy friends, they were able to set Margaux up for theft at a high-end jewelry store. When she was taken to lock-up for the night, Emily was there waiting. Margaux finally admitted to helping Victoria stage her death.
Elsewhere, Louise (Elena Satine) went to see Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) at her rehab facility to invite her to Victoria’s funeral. Charlotte looked great, very healthy; however, she wanted nothing to do with Victoria. In fact, it was possible Charlotte didn’t believe her mother was dead. If Louise promised to stop calling, Charlotte would give her access to Victoria’s penthouse.
At the penthouse, Louise found Nolan snooping around for evidence. He tried to convince her that Victoria didn’t deserve her loyalty. Louise disagreed…but while searching through Victoria’s things, she found a hoodie that looked like the one Victoria’s assailant from the parking garage was wearing (who we thought was Emily). Louise gave the hoodie to Ben, who started to take Emily’s claims of innocence more seriously. After further investigation, Ben discovered that the body in the fire/explosion was Mary Gaines. Victoria had switched their dental records. And with help from Margaux and Mason, Victoria had faked her death.
When Margaux left the police station, she ran into Louise who had finished talking to Ben. Louise shared her doubts, but allowed Margaux to convince her that Nolan had played her again. Then Margaux placed a phone call asking for someone’s urgent services…
…when Ben arrived at Mary Gaines house in New Jersey, Victoria was there and very much alive. But before he could call for back-up, he was stabbed in the head by White Gold (Courtney Love, the urgent call Margaux had made before!).
In tonight’s series finale episode “Two Graves” written by Joe Fazzio, directed by John Terlesky, and with returning guest-stars Christa B. Allen as Charlotte Grayson/Clarke and Courtney Love as White Gold:
EMILY CONFESSES TO HER CRIMES—Backed into a corner, Emily is forced to admit her guilt, but she’ll have to decide how far she’ll go before admitting defeat. (via ABC)
Watch a sneak peek from Revenge‘s final show, which features a last face-off between Emily/Amanda and Victoria. It seems Emily has been able to escape from prison and come looking for her arch-nemesis…and she’s ready to finish things:
“Goodbye Victoria.”
WOW! So does this mean Emily is prepared to spend the rest of her life in prison for really killing Victoria this time? Or perhaps Victoria was bluffing about those cameras being live…?
When I think about how I’d like to see things end for my fave Revenge characters, a few ideas come to mind: I’d like for Emily/Amanda and Jack to end up together. Perhaps they could take Carl and David (who’s cured of cancer), change their identities, and move to some remote Pacific island. I want Tony to come back to Nolan and ask them to adopt his new child together. They could visit Emily/Jack from time to time. I don’t know what I think should happen to Margaux or Louise…as long as they stay away from Emily, they can go on living their lives however they see fit.
