SHOWTIME will offer a stand-alone streaming service and it will hit the same day as the season premieres of Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex on July 12, 2015.
SHOWTIME just announced that beginning on Sunday, July 12th for the first time ever will offer a stand-alone streaming service with Apple being their first partner. The service will be called SHOWTIME. Since the first partner is Apple, iPhone, iPad, iPad touch, and Apple TV users will be able to receive this stand-alone service via the SHOWTIME app anywhere in the U.S., for a monthly price of $10.99.
Subscribers will be provided with unlimited on demand access to EVERY SHOWTIME original series, along with sports programming, documentaries, and a plethora of movie selections. If this wasn’t enough, your subscription will also provide you with live broadcast of both the east and west coast feeds of SHOWTIME. New customers who sign up through Apple in July will be offered a 30-day free trail.
Don’t fret non-Apple users, additional platforms and providers will be announced soon and even if you don’t own an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or an Apple TV as a subscriber you can still use the SHOWTIME stand-alone streaming service online.
