5 Star review for The Vampire Diaries complete sixth season Blu-ray DVD set, which is available for purchase NOW!
Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries premiered on October 2, 2104 with “I’ll Remember” and concluded with the season finale, “I’m Thinking of You All the While” on May 14, 2015. Throughout the season many of us fans repeatedly watched each episode over and over to relive all of our Bamon, Brother Defan, Delena, Steroline, or any other OTP feels. Now with TVD season 7 rapidly approaching (premiering on The CW on October 8, 2015 at 8/7c), many of us need to get our binge-watch on, and thankfully you can now own the complete sixth season of The Vampire Diaries on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
Thanks to the kind folks over at Warner Bros., we had the opportunity to review the complete sixth season of The Vampire Diaries Blu-ray DVD set. Being able to watch the season again and again, was a must…then add-on the amazing special features giving this DVD set a 5 STAR review was necessary! With the DVD set I was able to truly pause a scene to snot-sob for a few minutes over moments. For instance, Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) being reunited in the present world Mystic Falls. Or due to the farewell dance sequence between Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon. The DVD set gave me time to decipher why we love Kai (Chris Wood) who was so amazingly bad (there is no justifiable reason, Kai is horrid and we love him without remorse), and again witness Caroline (Candice Accola) be the best badass vampire we’ve seen come to light within the Scooby Doo gang since Damon. I didn’t realize how these relived (cathartic) moments were necessary to help prepare my soul for season 7 of The Vampire Diaries.
However, nothing compared to EPIC feels I would experience when I watched special features featurettes The Vampire Diaries: Good Bite and Good Luck and The Vampire Diaries: Best.Reaction.Ever. With The Vampire Diaries: Good Bite and Good Luck, the cast and executive producers of TVD say goodbye to Nina Dobrev, Marguerite MacIntyre (‘Sheriff Forbes’), Michael Trevino (‘Tyler Lockwood’), and Steven R. McQueen (‘Jeremy Gilbert’). And being able to see a @WeSoNerdy tweet among the many other fan tweets acted out during The Vampire Diaries: Best.Reaction.Ever. featurette, just furthered reminded me of why I wanted to start this website…to share my love of all things pop culture with the world, and made me so ecstatic that Funmbi and now Marisol and SeyElle came along for the ride.
I highly recommend you all pick up your very own copy of the complete sixth season of The Vampire Diaries out on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD NOW.
Synopsis:
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES continues its sixth season with more delicious drama to sink your teeth into. In season five, after a passionate summer with Damon, Elena headed to Whitmore College with Caroline, not knowing Bonnie sacrificed her life for Jeremy’s. Meanwhile, Stefan and Caroline’s friendship deepened as they stood up to the Travelers, a nomadic witch tribe driven to strip Mystic Falls of magic and cast out its supernatural residents. In the shocking season finale, Damon, fearing he would lose his loved ones on the crumbling Other Side, made a huge sacrifice to bring them all back — with catastrophic and heartbreaking results. Season six follows the characters’ journey back to each other as they explore the duality of good versus evil inside themselves. Matt Davis reprises his role as Alaric Saltzman, recently returned from The Other Side. Plus, the season will make you misty-eyed as the departure of a major character will turn lives upside down and leave us asking what happened to Mystic Falls. (via Warner Bros.)
