Get a sneak peek of the series premiere of NBC’s latest thriller Blindspot, starring Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton. The pilot airs tonight at 10:00pm ET|PT.
The end of summer break means more than the end of vacation and going back to school—the Fall 2015 TV season is upon us! While many of our faves are returning, there are several new shows to be excited about.
Let me assure you that NBC’s Blindspot is one of them! In addition to an awesome cast and crew with quite a few familiar faces, Blindspot promises to keep us on our toes with thrilling, action-packed mystery.
A beautiful woman, with no memories of her past, is found naked in Times Square with her body fully covered in intricate tattoos. Her discovery sets off a vast and complex international mystery that immediately ignites the attention of the FBI, which begins to follow the road map on her body into a larger conspiracy of crime, while bringing her closer to discovering the truth about her identity. Blindspot stars Sullivan Stapleton (300: Rise of an Empire), Jaimie Alexander (Thor: The Dark World), Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Broadchurch), Rob Brown (Treme), Audrey Esparza (Black Box), Ukweli Roach (The Royals) and Ashley Johnson (Much Ado About Nothing).
Writer Martin Gero (Bored to Death, L.A. Complex) serves as executive producer along with Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash), Sarah Schechter (The Mysteries of Laura, The Flash), Mark Pellington (Cold Case) and Marcos Siega (The Following).
If the synopsis and list of talent both in front of and behind the camera aren’t enough, this trailer and behind-the-scenes first look will definitely hook you! Both videos give us a sneak peek into the mystery surrounding Jane Doe. It turns out that figuring out the meaning behind her tattoos is not only critical to learning Jane’s true identity, but also saving thousands from various terrorist attacks.
You can already tell Jane is a badass…multilingual, trained in martial arts, smart as a whip. But why her? Why snatch her life away only to use her as a tool to (maybe) assist the FBI in stopping potential large-scale attacks? Who would even think to do something like this? I’m also super curious about how Jane’s relationship with Special Agent Weller will progress—is a new ship in the works??? As the weeks go by and we learn more about the schemes underway, I know my Jaimie Alexander girlcrush will only continue to grow.
To help you get ready for the pilot, we’ve got the synopsis and photo stills from tonight’s episode (written by Martin Gero, directed by Mark Pellington). You can also get to know the main characters a little better with the character photos below:
A beautiful, naked amnesiac (Jaimie Alexander) is found in Times Square covered in mysterious tattoos, including one bearing the name of FBI Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton). Special Agent Weller and his FBI team must decode the map of clues on Jane Doe’s body in order to thwart a deadly terrorist attack. Who is Jane Doe – is she an asset or enemy? Who wiped her memory? And who is behind the tattoos? (via NBC)
