In the final Mockingjay Part 2 trailer, Katniss enters The Capitol and unites the districts against President Snow. See new glimpses of battle scenes, as well as the final IMAX film poster.
Happy October Tributes! At this point we’re about five weeks from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2‘s theatrical release and the end really is in sight. Earlier this month we got the first official Mockingjay Part 2 clip, showing Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and the Star Squad getting ready for combat.
Lionsgate has also released the film’s final trailer, which you can watch below. Throughout the trailer, Katniss makes an impassioned speech, calling for the districts to unite and turn their weapons against President Snow. We get glimpses of the obstacles and traps Squad 451 confronts once they get to The Capitol, including vicious “mutts”, lots of firepower, and something called the “meat grinder”. As Finnick says, it really does feel like being back in the Hunger Games:
Nope, I really don’t think there’s anything that can prepare us for the end.
Seeing Katniss and Prim exchange “I love yous”, watching Squad 451 take on those scary mutts, all while President Snow and his supporters watch along… *SHIVERS*
What did you think of the final trailer?
If you’d like to see more of these battle scenes, Revolution.pn has been updated with brand new dispatches highlighting the bravery of those fighting for justice. We get clips of Finnick fighting off the mutts (*CRIES*), Katniss and Gale arriving at Snow’s mansion, and more. View the site at: http://www.revolution.pn/dispatches
Also, take a look at the final Mockingjay Part 2 IMAX poster. It’s an incredbly creative portrayal of the story…Katniss, the white roses, peacekeepers, and the regal Mockingjay:
