Tonight’s How to Get Away with Murder features several confrontations as Asher, Wes, and the Keating 5 learn some truths and challenge Annalise. Watch a sneak peek of “Meet Bonnie”, airing at 10:00pm ET|PT on ABC.
During last weeks’ How to Get Away with Murder, we saw the Keating 5 (ALL members) becoming increasingly frustrated with Annalise and the burden of their shared secrets.
“Skanks Get Shanked” began with Annalise getting a phone call from Nia Lahey, Nate’s wife! She was in the hospital and wanted help to die. She was tired of all the experimental drugs and treatments…she wanted to die on her own terms. Annalise was scared to see Nia, but there didn’t seem to be much animosity. In fact, it seemed that Nia encouraged Nate to have the affair with Annalise. She wanted Nate to have love in his life, especially after she was gone. Besides Annalise owed Nia this…would she come through?
The case of the week was a teen girl, Zoe, who was accused of killing her best friend Rachel. Zoe’s defense was that two popular girls had scared her and pressured her into stabbing Rachel (52 times!) as punishment for stealing a boyfriend. Similarly, the prosecution accused Zoe of actually being the ringleader, a sociopath who brainwashed the other two girls into participating in Rachel’s death. Annalise was able to discredit the prosecution’s doctor, but Laurel was still suspicious of Zoe. She “borrowed” Zoe’s phone and found that there was an app Zoe used to hide a video of her simulating Rachel’s death, laughing about it, and suggesting they murder someone else. SOCIOPATH. Annalise agreed to bury the video, but Connor had other ideas. Interestingly, he believed Annalise was brainwashing the Keating 5 into keeping various secrets. As retaliation, Connor leaked the video to the prosecution. The video was played it in open court, and Zoe freaked out, threatening to kill the other two girls.
Was Annalise a sociopath too? Connor still thought so…especially when Annalise threatened to frame him for Sam’s murder (DNA/blood in his “stolen” car) if he messed with her cases again. As far as Nia went, Annalise wasn’t going to help Nate’s wife kill herself. (*SIDENOTE* Annalise still had those pills Frank got her!)
In terms of the Hapstall case, Michaela was assigned to prepping the Hapstall siblings for trial. Were Caleb and Catherine really lovers? Catherine told Michaela that she and Caleb weren’t romantically involved. In fact, she was still a virgin. After a physical examination, a doctor was able to confirm Catherine’s virginity. (We learned Michaela was adopted too!) During their time together, it was clear Michaela was developing feelings for Caleb. She believed he and Catherine didn’t kill their parents.
Elsewhere, Asher and his father made a deal with DA Sinclair to turn in Annalise for getting Nate to murder Sam. In fact, Asher thought Annalise deserved to be punished. When Bonnie tracked him down, he confessed all of this to her. However, Bonnie then told Asher that SHE was the one who killed Sam.
In other developments, with Nate’s help, Wes and Levi found out that Rebecca was dead and that Frank had her buried in a cemetary. As Wes shared this information with Nate, Annalise saw them.
Flashing forward four weeks later to Annalise bleeding out on the floor of the Hapstall’s living room, an ambulance finally arrived and medics made various attempts to save her life. Annalise eventually flatlined on the way to the hospital. The Keating 5 (minus Asher) and Nate listened to the updates over the police scanner and were pretty scared. Nate promised that he would make sure everything was OK. In the middle of this, Michaela got a phone call and she assured the person on the other line that everything was fine. Who was she talking to? Caleb! Michaela met him in an apartment and once again told him that “she” was “good”…
Tonight’s episode is titled “Meet Bonnie” and, while the official synopsis (below) is a little vague, I’m hoping we’ll get a chance to delve deeper into this strange relationship between Bonnie and Annalise:
WHO CAN YOU TRUST IN A HOUSE FULL OF KILLERS??Asher discovers not everything is what it seems when you work for Annalise. Meanwhile, Frank is presented with a situation that hits close to home, and Wes’ search to find out more about Rebecca’s disappearance culminates into an explosive confrontation. (via ABC)
There are so many questions! Since Bonnie told Asher that she was the person who killed Sam, does this mean she’ll tell him more secrets about her past? And what does Wes learn about Rebecca, and who does he confront…? Annalise???
Watch two sneak peeks from the upcoming show. In the first, Annalise is agitated with how a case is going (the Hapstall siblings murder trial, I think) and Michaela bears the brunt of that frustration.
And speaking of frustration, in the second clip Asher is angry and demands to speak to Annalise alone. The Keating 5 are worried that this means Asher knows about how Sam really died:
Michaela’s motto is simply work hard, play harder. #HTGAWM https://t.co/IVE81tBIAS

Asher is full of rage after learning “the truth” in this sneak for tomorrow night’s #HTGAWM. https://t.co/4JcqsUh0LF — How To Get Away ABC (@HowToGetAwayABC) October 21, 2015
I know Levi is suspect and that Michaela probably shouldn’t be having sexy times talk during work, but I’m NOT even mad at her. Get it girl and enjoy it while you can!
Also, I think the Keating 5 (minus Asher) should be very concerned. Things are getting so convoluted…how are they going to keep all these stories straight? The web of lies Annalise has woven is becoming more and more thin.
These photo stills from “Meet Bonnie” give us a look into some of the confrontations we’ll see in the episode:
Drama, drama, DRAMA! Is it me or does the lighting in the final 3 photos look similar? As in, might Levi and Frank have a connection we don’t know about? Anything’s possible!
