Tonight the Johnsons celebrate the holidays in their signature (hilarious) way! Get a sneak peek of black-ish, airing at 9:31pm ET|PT on ABC.
Get ready for another holiday-themed episode of black-ish! The Johnsons are about to celebrate Christmas and Dre is determined that the kids will embrace the real meaning of the season instead of focussing on the gifts.
“Stuff” was written by Corey Nickerson, directed by Ken Whittingham, and guest-star Wanda Sykes returns as Daphne Lido (Dre’s new boss). Check out the official synopsis:
POPS AND RUBY TRY TO SHOW THE KIDS THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS BY PARING DOWN GIFTS AND SPENDING MORE TIME TOGETHER, AND DAPHNE LIDO INVITES HERSELF OVER TO CELEBRATE WITH THE JOHNSONS—Dre thinks Christmas has become commercialized and is all about “stuff,” and no one loves “stuff” more than his kids. Pops and Ruby think they have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas and come up with a new plan to pare down gifts and spend more time together. The kids don’t handle the news well and hope that if they put on their best behavior Dre and Bow will cave in. Meanwhile, Daphne Lido, who is single for her first holiday alone, invites herself to the Johnson family home to celebrate with them. (via ABC)
Thanks to ABC we’ve got two clips to share! In the first (via Yahoo! TV), Dre, Bow, and Pops announce that the kids will only be getting one present this year. The kids are going into shock when Bow shares that she’s planned for the family to start volunteering as well.
In the second video, when Dre shares his plan with his co-workers, they’re not very supportive, after all, “Stuff makes the world go round…”
