NETFLIX shares the official synopsis and teaser trailer for their upcoming series Fuller House, featuring the return of the lovable Tanner family, and premiering February 2016.
When NETFLIX officially announced this past April that they were bringing back Full House, please know that my inner child/pre-teen flailed so hard that I may/may not have blacked out from the excitement. The early-to-mid-1990s had some of the best television sitcoms! Besides Full House, shows like Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Step-by-Step, Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper, and Home Improvement made primetime television so enjoyable.
Even though Full House went off the air in 1995, like many fans, the lovable Tanners and all their antics have remained with me through the years. (It also helps that the show has been in syndication, so re-watching my fave episodes was possible.)
Well, if you’ve been wondering what happened to the Tanner clan and their loved ones, NETFLIX has finally given us a first look at the upcoming series Fuller House!
In Fuller House:
…the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) pregnant and recently widowed, living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.’s two boys – the rebellious 12-year-old J.D. and neurotic 7-year-old Max – and her soon-to-arrive baby.
John Stamos, Bob Saget, Davie Coulier, Lori Loughlin, and Scott Weinger will all appear in the 13-episode season (produced by Warner Horizon Television, Miller-Boyett Productions, and Jeff Franklin Productions, exclusively for NETFLIX).
Check out the first teaser trailer below, which takes us back to iconic images from the show (and San Francisco), including the Golden Gate Bridge, the row of Painted Ladies houses, and the inside of the Tanners’ home. The house has been empty for awhile, but D.J. and her family are moving back in!
Life is full again…
*WEEPING* How great is it to hear everyone’s voices in the background too?! (CUT. IT. OUT.)
I don’t mean to be greedy, but here’s hoping we’ll get some images soon too! It’s so exciting to think of the Tanners growing up, just like we have…and getting to peek into their lives after all these years is just perfect!
What did you think of the trailer?
Fuller House premieres on NETFLIX on February 26, 2016.
