Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s The Revenant is one of the most anticipated films of 2015, so much so, that it’s getting a lot of buzz for Awards Season! The film has already received four Golden Globe nominations, nine Critics’ Choice Award nominations, and Leonard DiCaprio is nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by Male Actor in a Leading Role. Needless to say, I can’t wait to see this movie!
Ahead of the December 25, 2015 (limited) release, the film’s cast, crew, and creators gathered at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles this past Wednesday (December 16) for the world premiere. Director Iñárritu was joined by DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson, Will Poulter, Grace Dove, Forrest Goodluck, Duane Howard, and Melaw Nakehk’o. The stars posed for photos on the red carpet, talked with the press, and signed autographs for fans.
According to The Hollywood Reporter: “the afterparty took place in West Hollywood, where DiCaprio and Hardy spent the night chatting, while Poulter and Gleeson were sitting nearby. Producer Brett Ratner walked around while other stars, including Casey Affleck, milled about, sipping on Moscow Mules.”
