Whilst it seems February 11th can’t come soon enough, TGIT will be back reminding us why a break from all of Shondaland’s heart-wrenching glory, was needed. If you don’t agree, let’s recap on all the drama we’re about to find ourselves in once more…

Where we left off:

– Asher’s father committed suicide due to the actions of Emily Sinclair.
– Asher has been initiated into club murder.
– Bonnie helped cover up Sinclair’s murder – who was run over by Asher – also telling him of the teams’ murderous history.
– Wes knows Rebecca is dead.
– Wes snapped and shot Annalise.
-Annalise sets up Catherine for the shooting, and the Hapstall murder.
-The shooting of Annalise was intentional; albeit planned last minute to irony of the tension built throughout the season thus far.
-The shooting of Annalise anywhere but her leg was not planned; but it was intentional.
-Wes is now more fragile than Asher.
-We still don’t know who killed the Hapstalls.
-More concerning is the fate of the slightly oedipal relationship between Wes and Annalise, surviving a shooting.
– Wes is Christophe.
– Christophe is seemingly the vulnerable child Annalise is sent to handle in her early years as a Lawyer.
The Promo:

Is Wes actually Annalise’s son? After the misdirect of the midseason finale, that led us to believe Annalise met Wes as a young Christophe; are we yet to have the answers?

-Meredith is bitter.
-Meredith’s bitterness is a touch past understandable.
-Owen has a sister.
-Riggs is not Owen’s sister (yes, my mind went there).
-Riggs had something to do with Owen’s sister, resulting in the tension between the two characters.
-Riggs enables Amelia to fall off the wagon.
-Alex proposes to Jo, who is threatened by his relationship with Meredith.
-April and Jackson are MIA…as a couple anyway.
The promo:
Feeling not at all, kind towards Meredith this season; whose grief is warranted, yet dismissive to others, it seems the hospital and its staff are to be subjected to another episode of violence – marking what will hopefully be the redemption of Meredith’s character.

For those who hate Jo; despite the relationship between Alex and Meredith being considered anything but platonic, I have a girl crush on Camilla Luddington’s portrayal of the character. With Alex’s emotional maturity lying on her answer to his proposal, the promo teases the optimist within us all, in hoping she says yes.

-Mellie is a badass fighting for basic civil rights.
-Olivia and Fitz are seemingly over as she leaves the white house with her bags packed.
-Susan FINALLY gets some rooting as a character.
-A girl squad to rival that of Taylor Swift is forming.

-Olivia has an abortion.
-David is so disingenuous it hurts
The Promo:
Scandal left us all with a bitter taste in our mouths. Aside the joyous ascension of Mellie Grant, Fitz’s questionable actions can no longer be excused by the over inflated love of Olitz.

Far from the handler she was in season 1, Olivia doesn’t know what she wants and Fitz doesn’t know to handle things period. As the series returns, I am prepared to mourn the loss of an Olitz composition; wooing us in the background of the series. Alongside the apparent loss of Jake’s love for Olivia in the promo, the series is set to return with just about everything left up in the air.

Which show in the Shondaland lineup are you most looking forward to returning?
