Watch two new interviews where Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe reveal more details about Outlander‘s second season, including new footage!
Also watch a new “Spring is coming” teaser trailer.
Outlander Season 2 is just about one month away, and we’re deep in promo, Sassenachs. And you know what that means… more promo means more interviews with Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe and more insight into what the upcoming episodes hold.
Recently, Sam and Cait covered Entertainment Weekly. In addition to a very sexy photo shoot, exclusive interviews gave us a preview of where the Outlander world will take us next. Check out the video below (via EW exclusive), where Sam and Cait reveal that Season 2 is split into two halves (the first taking place in the Parisian court of King Louis XV). We also hear about the obstacles Jamie and Claire face, in terms of changing history to prevent the Jacobite rising, as well as impending parenthood:
Sam talking about the “inter-weaving timelines” makes me so incredibly nervous! From last month’s trailer, we know that Claire is separated from Jamie and returns to her present with Frank… I’m NOT ready to see that on screen!
Entertainment Tonight also revealed a new interview with Cait and Sam (the first in a series of four ET/STARZ exclusives), which shares more about Outlander Season 2. Cait talks about how Claire tries to help Jamie heal from the trauma he suffered with Black Jack Randall. We also get new footage of Jamie and Claire’s Parisian friends (starting at 1:22), like Louise de Rohan (Claire Sermonne), Mother Hildegarde (Frances de la Tour), Master Raymond (Dominique Piñon), Wee Fergus (Romann Berrux), and more:
Listen up, lads and lassies! We have brand new Outlander season 2 footage and exclusive scoop from Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe!

“I don’t think it’s ever going to be smooth sailing with these two.”
Cait certainly has the right of it! I’m so excited for Season 2, but I’m also scared and nervous thinking about how much of a toll trying to change history will take on the couple.
What do you think?
Outlander returns on Saturday, April 9 at 9pm ET|PT on STARZ.
