A new case brings OPA back to work with the White House… but we might not like the Olitz reunion! Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Scandal, airing at 9:00pm ET|PT on ABC.
Last week Scandal took a brief break (instead, the series premiere of ABC’s new drama The Family aired); however, we’re back tonight with a new episode and all the drama.
I think the moments that stand out most to me in the February 25 show “Wild Card” surround Cyrus. I find it hard to believe that Cy is truly, completely done with Fitz’s presidency. He essentially foists Fitz and his wild-carding/lady drama on Abby and turns his attention to constructing the next great political legacy with (relatively obscure) Pennsylvania Governor Francisco Vargas. Who knew that our old friend Tom Larsen would play such a significant part in Cy’s plan?! (Are Cy and Tom romantically involved???)
After serious manipulation of events (i.e. Tom kidnapping Wayne Turner’s son and using it as leverage to force Wayne into holding Governor Vargas hostage), Cyrus gets *exactly* what he wants. Francisco Vargas is now a prominent hero, welcomed to the White House, where Cy is ready to continue his devious calculations.
Some other thoughts:
Can we talk about how Charlie and Quinn (unbeknownst to her) were keeping Wayne’s young son hostage? Are Charlie and Tom even working with Papa Pope anymore, or is that job for Cyrus just some moonlighting?
I’m glad to see Liv become suspicious about what Papa Pope and Jake are up to (thanks to Huck telling her how it is!). Should we have known that Jake would have another “girlfriend” (Vanessa Moss)? I’m curious to see where OPA’s investigations into this lady take us.
I don’t like the Liv/Jake hate-sex and I certainly don’t like Fitz’s new relationship with Lillian Forrester. Like Abby says, who the hell is she?! No, I don’t trust Lillian and I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s be placed there by Papa Pope and Jake for some dark purpose.
I am DONE with David Rosen and his gigolo ways. The fact that he’s sleeping with Susan Ross so she will run for POTUS because Lizzie tells him to…so disgusting! I hope Susan learns to truth and slaps David and Lizzie.
What were your favorite “Wild Card” moments?
Tonight’s new episode “The Fish Rots from the Head” was written by Heather Mitchell and directed by Sharat Raju:
IN WASHINGTON, D.C, THERE ARE ALWAYS THREE SIDES TO A STORY—Olivia and the team take on some embattled Secret Service agents. Meanwhile, Abby has her hands full trying to keep Fitz in line, and Jake begins to reveal a few secrets of his own. (via ABC)
This sneak peek gives us a glimpse of OPA’s case this week, bringing them back to the White House:

Well, after Tom Larsen, I wouldn’t put anything past these Secret Service agents! Do we think this Megan’s death is really an accident?
Take a look at 12+ images from “The Fish Rots from the Head” where we see more of OPA at work, as well as a meeting between Cyrus and Governor Vargas.
