Warner Bros released the second extended trailer for Me Before You with the featured song “Not Today” by Imagine Dragons. You also need to see X Ambassadors music video for their song ‘Unsteady’! Get ready for the feels!
This trailer is bringing everything it can to make you feel like it’s the perfect adaptation. It opens with Will and Lou at the castle and Will telling her about his favorite café in Paris. For those that have read the book, you know this café is a big part of the story. We even get to see Lou in a brief flash standing outside the parfumerie. **passes tissues**
This trailer is taking a more lighthearted approach to Me Before You which I love because it’s highlighting the beauty and ease that Lou and Will eventually have around one another, but it’s absolutely misleading for someone that hasn’t read the book.
I adore the joking about Lou getting her breasts close to him, and Lou’s “oh please” response that Will wouldn’t have looked at her before his accident. It’s honest and bittersweet. It’s during this scene that we really see the relationship building between them, and we need to talk about how Will looks at Lou because SEND HELP.
He’s completely in awe of her as she laughs and calls him out on his nonsense. In another scene when he tells her how to wear her dress? That smile he gives as she sasses him? Oh my goodness. I will not survive this movie.
The casting for this film is obviously spot on because the chemistry is evident…which is going to make it hurt that much worse.
Watch the new, extended trailer below, and let us know what you think!
Onto the music!
Imagine Dragons has an original song called “Not Today” that’s exclusive to the Me Before You soundtrack! It’s really beautiful, and you can find it below along with a music video from X Ambassadors. Their song “Unsteady” is perfect for Lou and Will’s story.
