Grant Gustin had a lot to say about Barry’s life in the Flashpoint world! Check out our interview with Grant about what fans can expect in Season 3 of The Flash.

Picture it: Barry Allen has just defeated the despicably deranged Zoom/Hunter Zolomon.
Though Barry is still mourning the loss of his father (heightened by the big reveal that the man in the iron mask, the real Jay Garrick is his father’s doppelgänger), he’s with his family and friends who are safe (for now).
And even more, the girl of his dreams, Iris West is in love with him.
Sure, life isn’t perfect, but we were happy, right?
Apparently not so much because The Flash‘s Season 2 finale ends with Barry going back in time and saving his mother from Reverse Flash. And this decision will change EVERYTHING.
What was Barry thinking? What’s his life like in the Flashpoint? Does he feel any remorse?
I had a chance to sit down with Grant Gustin at this year’s Comic-Con, and he answered all of these questions and more. Check out the interview below!
OK, what can you actually say about Flashpoint?
As you can imagine, Grant has to be somewhat tight-lipped, but he revealed some juicy tidbits about Season 3. Both of Barry’s parents are alive, and he’s loving life. Interestingly, he’s the only person who remembers life before Flashpoint.
After returning from the Speedforce, Barry comes to terms with his Mom’s death. He’s happy, right?! So at what point does he decide to change the past/future?
According to Grant, it’s actually that final conversation with Iris that triggers his decision. With that said, when we see Barry in Flashpoint, he’s going to start to feel regret, especially when he stats to lose his pre-Flashpoint memories.
Does Barry still have his powers in Flashpoint? How long does this new timeline last?
Grant says that Barry *does* still have his powers, but he’s content to let Wally/Kid Flash do the hero thing. However, something happens that causes Barry to start exploring how his (former) friends and loved ones are doing in Flashpoint. And there may come a time when Barry wants to reverse things, but it might be too late…
What can you tell us about the upcoming 4-show crossover with The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, and Supergirl?
Well, Grant knows something BIG, but he can’t talk about it… even Carlos Valdes (Cisco) reiterates that point during our interview! But Grant is really excited to be teaming up with Melissa Benoist again. (In all honesty, the Supergirl/The Flash episode was my absolute FAVE episode of television last season!)
We’re really looking forward to Season 3 too, including that 4-way (*giggles*).
