STARZ’s highly-anticipated series The White Princess premieres this Sunday (April 16), and we have all the details and a sneak peek to get you ready!
You’ll recall that The White Queen concluded with England’s War of the Roses coming to an end when King Richard III was defeated at the Battle of Bosworth by Henry Tudor.
The White Princess returns to Tudor England as England is about to be united by the marriage of Princess Elizabeth of York aka Lizzie (Jodie Comer) and King Henry VII (Jacob Collins-Levy).
With that said, this is still one of the most tumultuous times in British history, and the personal and political rift between Lizzie and Henry threaten to tear the kingdom apart once again.
Things become even more difficult when rumors start circulating that Lizzie’s long-lost brother Prince Richard is alive and planning to take the throne. As a result, she will be forced into the impossible choice between her new Tudor family and the boy who could be her own blood and the rightful York king.
Like The White Queen, The White Princess is drawn from Philippa Gregory’s novel of the same name, and shares the tale of power, family, love, and betrayal, uniquely from the point of view of the women waging the ongoing battle for the English throne. I can’t wait!

Watch these two clips from the upcoming show. In the first, Henry and his mother, Lady Margaret Beaufort (Michelle Fairley), meet Lizzie and her family. Things become tense when Henry seems to pick Lizzie’s sister Cecily (Suki Waterhouse) over her. And in the second video, Henry and Lizzie have their first dinner (date?) together, and things get pretty heated between them.
Is anyone else getting the hate-sex vibe from Lizzie and Henry??? *SHIVERS*
