Rayven-Symone’ returns to Disney Channel for the spin-off Raven’s Home. Get a first look at the hilarious new series and fun times and antics to come!
I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that Raven-Symoné is one of the original queens of Disney Channel. For four seasons (and 100 episodes) That’s So Raven entertained us with stories of family and friendship and Raven Baxter’s cooky antics resulting from her psychic abilities.
When That’s So Raven was airing between 2003 and 2007, I was probably older than the intended demographic. This didn’t stop me from watching and cackling like a loon. At the time, I used my little sister (10 years my junior) as an excuse to watch and enjoy the show. But looking back on it, I really didn’t need an “excuse.” This sitcom might have been on Disney Channel, but it really was for everybody.
So when the network announced that we’ll be going back to Raven’s world in the spin-off series Raven’s Home, you better believe I was EXCITED. I love the idea of Raven growing up with us. And in this new show, she’s likely closer to my age (and Rayven-Symone’s actual age).
The premise reminds me a little of Fuller House: Raven and her bestie Chelsea Daniels are now single-moms, dealing with the joys and challenges of family life. At the same time, we can expect the signature quirky adventures that occur after botched understandings of her psychic visions.
Recently, we got the very first trailer, which introduces us to the Baxter/Daniels brood and sets the stage for a lot of fun times ahead:
Raven’s Home finds longtime best friends Raven Baxter and Chelsea van der Pol each divorced with kids of their own. The single moms come together to help raise their children – Raven’s 11-year-old twins Booker and Nia, Chelsea’s 9-year-old son Levi – in one chaotic, but fun household that often includes the twin’s best friend and neighbor Tess. Raven still catches glimpses of the future, but she’s not the only one in the family who does – Booker has the same ability. While Booker uses his newly found power to try and make sense of middle school and his new family life, Raven uses her power to help her be a better mom, a great fashion designer and an awesome friend. Hilarity ensues as Raven and Booker’s visions collide, but no matter the situation, they figure everything out together as one big happy family.
I cannot wait!!! I’m intrigued by the idea of Raven AND Booker having visions… who knows what craziness will happen now.
Raven’s Home premieres Friday, July 21 at 10:00pm ET|PT on Disney Channel and will be available on the Disney Channel App, VOD, and Disney Channel YouTube (starting 12:01am ET).

New episodes of Raven’s Home will air Fridays (8:30-9:00 p.m. EDT) on Disney Channel, beginning July 28.
