With Ezekiel, Carol, and the Kingdom caught in a trap, Rick and Daryl are on their way to try and save them. Will there be anyone left when they get there? Here’s our preview for “Some Guy”!

The fourth episode of season eight is shaping up to be a doozy! In my preview for the season premiere, you can find it HERE, I mentioned the importance of the clock and how the camera stays on it for several seconds.
It is on 8:20, which translates to 8.4 episode wise. The Walking Dead writers make everything count, and this was a nod that something important or dramatic may take place in the episode that would change the path of Rick’s vision. Perhaps, the events of episode 4 shape that future? If so, how?
Right now, we know that Ezekiel was shielded by his men, so he’s not dead. Khary Payton, who plays Ezekiel, has also mentioned how incredible the finale is going to be so we can assume he’s safe.
Judging by Jerry’s face, it doesn’t look like everything is peachy, though.

We’ve been given this stress-inducing clip of Carol, hiding out in the Savior compound, too. In one shot from the preview of the rest of the sesason, we also see her with some marks on her face. How will Carol deal with these Saviors?
In that clip, Daryl takes a spill and Rick keeps after the Savior they’re chasing. Right now, it looks like their plans are going out the window and making people sloppy and angry. If there’s one thing we know courtesy of Michonne it’s:
“Anger makes you stupid. Stupid gets you killed.”
Watch out Team Family because it looks like things are about to get worse on your front.
Moving on to the title here: “Some Guy.”
This is reminds me so much of “Still” when Daryl tells Beth who he was before the apocalypse.
“I was nobody. Nothing. Some redneck asshole and an even bigger asshole for a brother.”
Is Daryl the “some guy”? Is this title a play on the idea that these men have no real identity anymore they’re just “some guy” when they fall in line with Negan? Are they just “some guy” when they are killed? Canon fodder?
We don’t know much now because AMC is keeping this one pretty tip lipped, but I think this episode will be an important one, and stand by my clock theory from episode one about this episode.
