Outlander has been renewed for TWO more seasons! We’ve got the details, plus new images from the upcoming fourth season, premiering Fall 2018!
Sassenachs, I come bearing whole lot of very good Outlander news!
Today, Starz President and CEO Chris Albrecht (with Sony Pictures Television), announced their original series, Outlander has been renewed for TWO more seasons, taking the show through Season 6. SIX!
According to the press release, Seasons 5 and 6 will each have 12 episodes, based on the fifth book in Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling series–The Fiery Cross–as well as A Breath of Snow and Ashes, the sixth book in the series, respectively.
According to Albrecht:
“Fans can rest assured their beloved Claire and Jamie will be back facing new challenges, adversaries and adventures in seasons five and six as we delve into American history and continue the story of the Frasers as they settle in the New World.”
Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Toni Graphia, Matthew B. Roberts, and Andy Harries will remain as Executive Producers and the creative team.
As if that isn’t enough, STARZ also shared that Outlander‘s fourth season will premiere this November! Season 4 is currently shooting on-location in Scotland and will include 13 episodes based upon Drums of Autumn.
You’ll recall that at the end of Season 3 (Voyager), Claire and Jamie have find themselves on the coast of Georgia in the American colonies. In Season 4, Claire’s and Jamie’s romance and adventures continue, as they make their way to North Carolina and attempt to build new lives for themselves (with some help from Jamie’s Aunt Jocasta). We can also expect to see more of Bree and Roger in 1960s Boston.
Thanks to STARZ we have three new images from Season 4 to share. Two of the images feature Jamie and Claire traveling, then getting ready for an event. And in the third, Roger comforts Bree, who has just hurt herself *SWOON*

What do you think, Sassenachs? Hopefully, this means a trailer will be coming our way soon!
