Jamie is forced to make a choice between loyalties. Meanwhile, Bree/Roger reunion is on the horizon! Get a sneak peek of this week’s Outlander, “Wilmington”.
Sassenachs, for the first time, last week, Bree and Roger’s storylines carried an Outlander episode, as we literally followed these two (Alice in Wonderland style) down the rabbit hole. Both journeyed back to 18th Century Scotland, and interestingly, both got rude introductions to the past as they crossed paths with some of the series’ most sinister characters. While Roger linked up with Stephen Bonnet (and met fellow MacKenzies on the voyage to the American colonies), Bree ended up spending some time with Laoghaire. Doing so, triggered several memories of her father. We got to witness Frank’s redemption as a father to Bree, as well as his knowledge that Claire told the truth about going back in time and would return. Either way, by the end of “Down the Rabbit Hole”, Bree and Roger were on their way to North Carolina.
For more of our thoughts on the good, the bad, and the Bonnet, definitely check out our written recap and video review:
In Sunday’s new episode “Wilmington” (written by Luke Schelhaas, directed by Jennifer Getzinger):
Roger’s diligent search for Brianna pays off when he finds her in Wilmington, but their romantic reunion comes to an abrupt halt when she discovers pertinent information that he intentionally kept from her. Meanwhile, Jamie and Claire attend the theater with Governor Tryon, at his request, and discover a plot against the Regulators that tests Jamie’s loyalty to Tryon. (via STARZ)
We knew a conflict between Jamie and Murtagh over his Regulator business would be coming… here we are.
But for now, let us bask in the Bree and Roger reunion! Watch the clip below:
I will take ALLLLLLLL the Bree/Roger declarations of love, OK?!
However, friends, the theme of this season has been high highs followed by low lows… and in the preview trailer for “Wilmington,” we see that Bree crosses paths with Stephen Bonnet. Nothing good ever comes from meeting this man under any circumstances. I think we’re all going to need a lot of support, and a HUGE trigger warning. So let’s take the next few days to gather ourselves in preparation.
Take a look at these seven images below (Fersali is back!!!), and make sure to live tweet with us at 8p/9c this Sunday (December 23) on STARZ!
