It’s been a while since we were in Hawkins, Indiana, but that’s about to change! Stranger Things is almost back with character posters and a new trailer!

One summer can change everything.
Stranger Things will debut its third season on July 4th, and we couldn’t be more excited! Our core group of kids is growing up! What does this season have in store? Teenage drama, mystery, the Upside Down coming back in a big way?
My love for this show has gotten deeper since we started our rewatch recently, and these new stills have me freaking out a little! I love the carnival background, and we can already tell this isn’t going to be the safest Fourth of July for the residents of Hawkins. I need you all to take a closer look at Lucas’ little sister, Erica. She looks unbothered by whatever’s happening. She’s going to help save the day. Y’all wait.
We need to talk about the newest trailer, too. It’s less than two minutes long, and focuses on Billy and his bad boy sex appeal. Mrs. Wheeler’s thirst for him is strong. I don’t see it because he’s an asshole, but she sure does. She’s ready to lose it all for that Lost Boys reject, and he seems to be flirting back. Is Mike’s mom having an affair with Billy?!
In the first full length trailer, we see that the group is still friends and hanging out a lot, but there is a bit of a rift forming. They’re growing up, and that’s normal, but Will depends on his friends to normalize his world. If this is between Mike and Will, that’ll definitely shake things up for the youngest Byers as he adjusts to a world where he has to be more on his own.
One of my favorite things about the trailer is Eleven and Max. I really hope we get to see them become best friends. Continuing from S2, Dustin and Steve are still besties! I love it. Honestly, Steve’s character arc has been the best one of the series. The trailer is full of 80s references and music, and snippets of action. Did you see the mutated demogorgon at the end?
Oh, and Joyce and Hopper are endgame, and I need everyone to recognize this and board the ship with me if you haven’t already.
Have a look below and mark your calendars for July 4th!
