We’ve been waiting for this news for a least a year, and now we have a date! Mindhunter will arrive on Netflix August 16th!

If you haven’t watched season one of Mindhunter yet, what are you waiting for? The acting is fantastic, the pace is perfect, and it’s the best blend of true crime (seriously TRUE crime) and drama.
My crush on Jonathan Groff is no secret, so it may seem bias when I say he’s incredible in this, but he really is. Add in a stellar supporting cast, including Emmy nominated actor Cameron Britton for his turn as serial killer Ed Kemper, and it’s rock solid.
Groff plays Holden Ford, an FBI agent that helps pioneer the field of profiling serial killers. His partner Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) and Wendy (Anna Torv) round out the small force that makes huge strides in creating mental profiles for these killers.
This season of Mindhunter will focus on a different serial killer to hunt down, but will hopefully show scenes from the side-plot in season one of the mysterious serial killer that’s yet to make a name for himself.
Back in 2017, Fincher said that season two would focus on a series of child murders in Atlanta, Georgia in the 1970s. That would put this season a couple of years after the end of season one. We can’t wait to see Holden, Sully, and Wendy back in action.
We’ll keep you updated as soon as a trailer drops and more details become available!
